Job Description
Want real production experience instead of an internship where you spend the semester doing busywork? You'll join us on actual YouTube/podcast shoots, help capture live events and wellness retreats, contribute creative ideas, and work alongside an experienced media team.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: Mentorship, course credit eligibility, portfolio rights/credits where possible, networking/access, production experience, and flexible hours.
I'm a wellness entrepreneur, author, and podcast host with a YouTube show, a podcast six years in, a social presence, and a beachside wellness retreat center since 2006.relaunching with a new community driven approach. The industry is moving from podcast to video and we are expanding the show to a reality/podcast experience. FUN, CREATIVE and NEW. I'm looking for a creative multimedia partner who wants to make content that actually moves people, learn the craft on a real set, and walk away with a portfolio that opens doors.
WHAT YOU'D DO
- Be on set during filming for the YouTube show and podcast .Experience on set production and team strategy calls.
- Bring creative ideas and help shape content across the show, podcast, and social
Do light editing.
- Participate in content-strategy calls with a high-level team that works on major networks (ex.Fox, Hulu etc).
- Capture the experiences: podcast guests, live events, and retreats (including our November event, on-site)
- Jump on the fun, miscellaneous things that come with a growing media brand
WHO THRIVES HERE
- A Media Communications, multimedia, film, or content-creation student (Point Loma students, you're right up the street)
- Genuinely creative, with an eye for story and a feel for what makes people stop scrolling
- Comfortable on a set and on an editing timeline or hungry to get there
- Reliable and easy to work with; you show up and follow through
- Excited about wellness, health, and content that means something
THE DETAILS
- Unpaid internship, ideally for course credit, with a clear path to a paid position when our retreats re-launch.
10-15 hrs/week, flexible around your class schedule
- In person (San Diego) for shoots and events + remote for editing and calls
